Location
Fort Collins is northern Colorado's largest city, sitting on the edge of the prairie at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. It is the Larimer County seat, and home to Colorado State University. Fort Collins was established in 1862 as a fort by the 9th Kansas Volunteer Cavalry, swiftly becoming an agriculturally based community. It has since grown into a mid-sized city with a wide variety of natural, educational, historic and performing arts attractions. One of the biggest draws is the large number of microbreweries and brewpubs, that are based out of the city, drawing crowds for tastings and brewery tours.
