Program Description
The ASMCUE Travel Textbook Award is targeted to faculty members who have begun teaching undergraduate microbiology students within the past three years at an accredited U.S. college or university. Recipients may include postdoctoral scientists and/or early-career faculty members. Early-career faculty may include those persons who have taught in a related field of science but have moved to teaching microbiology. Applicants for this Award should apply for the Early-Career Travel Grant Program and one Award will come from this applicant pool.
Inaugural authors include Jeffrey Pommerville at Glendale Community College, Arizona, Marjorie Cowan at Miami University, Ohio; Christopher Woolverton at Kent State University, Ohio; Robert Bauman at Amarillo College, Texas; and Kathleen Talaro at Pasadena City College, California.
